I'm a design leader working across consumer product, automotive, and mobile & desktop application projects, unifying experiences from industrial design through UX/UI to brand identity.

My value isn't breadth for its own sake — it's making the calls that keep hardware, software, and brand aligned when most teams split those decisions across three different entities. That's the seam I own, and it's harder to find than any single-discipline skillset. Most of my roles have reported directly to a President or CEO, so I'm used to defending a design decision in the room where the business decision gets made.

That's meant directing the design system behind Boxbot's warehouse operations software, working alongside engineering and product. It's meant the cockpit ergonomics on Navier's N30 electric hydrofoil, the exterior and console redesign on Genovation's all-electric Corvette conversion, and the production enclosure for Cruise Automation's roof-mounted sensor pod, shipped with the company's public launch.

On the personal side, I was afforded an upbringing in such places as Quito, Ecuador and Nairobi, Kenya thanks to my parents’ jobs in the Foreign Service. Connecting to new people every few years as a child was no ‘safari in the savanna’, but I am grateful for the perspective and love for travel the experience gifted me.

After college in Seattle and a period of time with an electric car startup in Oregon, I bounced around the San Francisco Bay Area, started raising a family, and moved to Seattle. Apart from being the best dad I can be (mainly by emulating the inimitable parents of cartoon dog Bluey) my free time is most happily spent with good friends and good drinks, catching up on the X-Files with my partner, and listening to comedy podcasts.
